Bishop Loretta Smith-Johnson is the Senior Pastor of Shekinah Glory Christian Church in Newark, NJ, a thriving inner-city non-denominational church with a prophetic mandate to impact the world. A native of Newark, NJ, Bishop Smith-Johnson assumed this pastorate in 1986 when the church was Zion United Church of Christ. Under her leadership and in response to an influx of renewed hope, life and vision, Zion was transformed into Shekinah Glory Christian Church.

With over 33 years in ministry, preaching, teaching, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, Bishop Smith-Johnson is an international Kingdom leader with an accurate Word from God in her mouth. She was ordained by the Presbytery of Newark, NJ at Roseville Presbyterian Church under the pastorate of Rev. Oliver Brown and was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 2003, by her Apostolic Father, Bishop Donald Hilliard II, Presiding Prelate of The Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship and Cathedral Assemblies (CEFCA) with co-consecrators Bishop J.
